Outside of work Laura takes pushing her own limits and experimenting with possibility seriously – be it open water swimming, daily writing challenges or learning a new dance style. She lives in the Wiltshire town of Bradford-on-Avon with her partner of whom she met on the Ballroom dance floor!
I have often found myself thinking of Roger Bannister breaking the four-minute mile in 1954 after so many had deemed it physically impossible – apparently runners had been chasing it since 1886! The fact that it had been this elusive limit that once overcome, opened the flood gates to many other athletes achieving it, clearly demonstrates the power of belief and mindset. It continues to inspire me to do things that open up new possibility to others.
