Polly has a Masters in Human Resource Management, is a Fellow of the CIPD and has worked in HR for over 20 years for a variety of industries. She has a particular interest in creating a working environment where people can flourish, leading to positive business outcomes.
Outside of work, Polly is mum to 3 boys and loves yoga and swimming. Polly also sings in a gospel choir and hosts a podcast about creating workplaces where people can thrive. Polly is also HR Trustee of a local charitable organisation.
My favourite breakthrough moment
The Sex Discrimination Act 1975; this was the first piece of discrimination legislation in the UK (it has since been wrapped up into the Equality Act 2010). Due to this Act, It became unlawful to discriminate on the grounds of gender and is a landmark piece of legislation for womens’ rights and the first step towards equality in the workplace.
